It flows, it's terse but a slight refinement of language could take this piece to an emotional slap in the face to a metaphorical fist into the solar plexus. Even so, a most excellent that insists you stop to take the moment.

I like this poem just as it stands.
I didn't miss details. As it sets, it's personal but also universal.
It made me think of earnest, loving parents who are dealing with their own angst and fall short when it comes to their kids.
Like mine.
It's tender, but reminded me of Phillip Larkin's "This Be The Verse," which is one of my all time favorite poems.
Anyway, I like it.
