I believe in fate but not destiny...that's why I always look both ways before crossing the road haha. Existential truth you have written wonderfully Ely.

Thank you Harry... this one required a bit of a think...but I think I got it figured out...

Fate seems to be a trip down the river...
with little or no steering from us...
whereas Destiny is what happens
when we take charge of our own rudder...
and steer our way down through the gorge.

I still look both ways too...it's just common sense anymore.
though I rather like the idea of putting ourselves in the path of Destiny.
Something I avoided...not liking to put myself in the limelight...
I enjoyed acting...but...I'd rather watch from the wings...Ely

As to the philosophy...we certainly agree...life takes a little effort on our parts, Ely
