FAMILY (PART 1)

We discussed about love,
for a while...
about its beauty and downside.
Somehow,
We developed good rapport.
Soon,
She felt confident enough
and a random question followed...
what does family mean to you?
I was taken aback,
I caught a few under-tones...
but all the same,
I aired my feelings.

I became honest with her,
I opened up.
I said...
For me,
family comes first.
To me,
family means everything.
Literally,
everything.
Family means peace,
and joy...
family means understanding,
in all it's forms.

Family means many things,
..very many things...
Different families have different values.
While examining these things,
I realized one thing...
family means everything.
However,
In this era..
family means nothing,
unfortunately.

It's sad that somewhere..
We lost the way terribly,
like stray mongrels.
We use our noses more than eyes,
and our tails more than brains.

It's a mess out here.
