Poems are hard to write
Especially when you are all that’s on my mind
So I sit here typing
And deleting
And typing
And deleting
And typing
And deleting
Just to type one more thing
About you

Poetry is difficult
Especially when every single thought
leads me back to you
So I sit here thinking
And pondering
And forgetting
And thinking
What in the world can I write that’s not
About you?

Then I say
"fuck it"
I can't escape this
so I delete it all
And close my computer
Crawl under my blankets
And sleep
Just to dream
About you
