Longing For The Rain

I long for the touch of rain on my skin
For its sweet taste on my lips like a lover's kiss

I want to feel the rain wrapping me in its cold embrace
In this blazing summer heat

I want to soak myself in the fresh, falling heavens tears
To cleanse and purify my soul from my impurities

I want to sing in the rain, to squeal with delight
As I dance with joy bubbling in my heart

I want to relive those childhood years
To just be a child again for a moment in my life

I want to feel that happiness again
To drown my pain and tears in the rain
To be lost in the comfort of its healing kiss
