Medicine

The spirits of every lost element
Of earth, water, fire, air
Pass thru’ stone, flesh & firmament
In the life of a star’s violent glare.

In my body & soul stir the giants
Telling me time is run out.
It’s here, now, in my defiance
That I council what I’m all about.

Is it you my old friend, hello, blessings,
I know we just met today.
It’s been years tho’ I’m professing,
I must make amends for the delay.

I miss you, do you hear & l do care,
What have we done with ourselves?
We’ll make good medicine, I swear,
To toast till our cups meet at the 12.
