1/60th of Death
Doze for a moment, sleep for a day
it makes no difference anyway
I lay me down to sleep
Pray the One Above my soul to keep
beseech angels to guide the way
I die, just a little, to travel heavenward
leaving parts of me in a place I will never
with mortal eyes look upon
I wake, praise He Who kept me
returning, regretfully, to my soul.
Exiled from universe and wisdom
That my eternal longs for above all
Dissonance in harmony
physicality and spiritual, such agony
bound together by gossamer strings
it makes no difference anyway
I lay me down to sleep
Pray the One Above my soul to keep
beseech angels to guide the way
I die, just a little, to travel heavenward
leaving parts of me in a place I will never
with mortal eyes look upon
I wake, praise He Who kept me
returning, regretfully, to my soul.
Exiled from universe and wisdom
That my eternal longs for above all
Dissonance in harmony
physicality and spiritual, such agony
bound together by gossamer strings
