Friendship
For me friendship is walking hand in hand
sharing a moment, precious memories
beside you through it all; mutual support
when times are bad and things turn rough
I'll watch your back .... take the flak
Never shirk the duty of a true friend
when you are wrong or stupid
I'll be the first person to tell you so
yet I will defend your right to the death
to live your life anyway you choose
and yes ... I'll be there ...
a shoulder to cry on .... arms to comfort you
Why would I go through all this trouble and pain?
Because you care for me just the same
My kindred spirit... my soul-mate
My one true friend
