Nature's Recycling (a nursery rhyme)

The Universe adores me lots, yes this I know
just like its adoration of a flake of snow
for both of us are sitting in a melting-pot
considering our futures in the life we’ve got

and coming back as water we will fall as rain
and join ourselves together on a window-pane
then off the sill we’ll plop into a nice big puddle
with other lovely flakes and folks who need a cuddle

the cats and dogs will stop at us to quench their thirst
and no-one will compete about who got there first -
for Nature is so clever as She does the rounds
to bring new life to neighbours in the lost-n’-found

the Universe adores us lots, yes this we know
with kinships of the animals and plants in tow
along with all the hidden realms we wait in awe
as Nature cycles water for the good of all.
