Patina II
i: Another stroll before I’ve caught my breath, since earlier today our talk relents, to all things sexual in the carnal sense, and never lets our nature stop, repent, rue the day; to sing!, that is our way as we ascend, to reel with fractured arcane laugh, have NO fears, as we go tilting at windmills on their ears!
ii: Yet for all of that, to know and feel, ‘twas this epiphany, to bleed the same shade of red, we discovered that instead the ink that other poet pens exude is merely crude of black or maybe blue, we found that when we would compose, the shade of deepest red of rose, a special blend, a vintner’s year is what we did with poetry, to stir and spin to mix the scent and taste till even aging could not waste the time, would let us breathe the ‘nose’, take in the rhyme, and we began to stay for when to share in verse our passion’s thirst, oh the bouquet!
iii: But back before we ever met, we both were practicing voyeurs, who were each day more than impressed when reading what the other did, yet what each other didn’t know, was how we marveled at the way we separate did our poetry, of me and mine: the haiku verse he’d never done, but neither had I ever inked what he had always scribed, I think, a wonder called the sonnet form!
iv: Now how does the saying go... The rest is history? Well we’re still putting down tracks, but here’s where I’m gonna break from the pack to say what I’ve saved as the best part for last...
v: To my bewhiskered, bespectacled, unabashedly uncontainable rapscallion of a jinxie to his tiger minxie:
I adore your beautiful mind of a romantic: rife with its scares, head among the clouds and stars, feet on the ground, with eyes, fingers and hands held and laid on every inch of my sexuality, mon cher... no one’s perfect, but with our common perversities, life together is pepper and chili spice. And I thank you for the remembrance of our consummation after so long, as we both shook like new leaves in anticipation of Spring!
And given a nod and a wink from Who do you think? With the stroke of a pen, we would do it all again!
