Perfume Beset by Moonlight

Across the stone
Laid heavy upon the resting soil
Three words writ of death and love and woe

The vagrant auras still haunt this place
Perfume on the wind to carress this eve of sorrow

A mingling of trees to embrace her soul
Hidden there with their dispair
An embrace of shadow to shelter the forest's whore

A maiden of vermillion wonder
Wanton hands to strip her bare
Lace and flesh left garments wanting
Piece by piece they raped her there

Of shame, midnight and discolored wantings
The howling of her beasts left turning
Abide the moonlit trails of rotting

Her breath,
Three words
Of whispers faltered
Aloft on the breeze of mystery
Her perfume to alter favors
