Thank you buddy. I told you I had written it probably a week ago,  but just getting used to putting feelings on the page. You do so many on your side, I was inspired to just put it out .... finally. Lol

This a lovely meditation!  One can feel the value that this soul has in your life.  Despite the rollercoasters of life, one can see you are loved!  

Very much so & you know how tough it can be in your place as you do your wife. It's only taken midlife  get it together right. Adulting isn't easy.😂

Seen some difficult days, but I wouldn't change a thing.   It forces me to grow even though I want to reject adulthood.  It would be much more difficult if I didn't have these outlets.  But at the end of the day this poem suggests to me that you have the right person in your corner.

...but this otherwise perfect poem...
is marred by a little bad grammar...
which I'm quite sure you would prefer to remove
given the opportunity.
I speak of the verb, ''swim'', here in tense present...''I swim''
simple past tense is... ''I swam'' or ''we swam''
...Unless... you have a ''helper'' verb,  then the past tense is changed to, ''swum''...
Hence...I/we swim
          ...i/we swam
          ...I/we have swum...or I've swum and we've swum...hoping I have been of some assistance...hugs, Ely

You catch the ebb and flow perfectly, seems to me.  I have never truly been in love, but get a sense of its variances from work like yours.  Fantastic job!
