I'm The One
I’m the one that got away
I’m the one you could not play
Riddle me this
Riddle me that
Too classy to fiddle since I’m a violin
And as hard as you tired I could never let you in
Could never let you win because I would lose
No holiday so lady sing the blues
I’m familiar with your song… siren, so I sounded the alarm
Rang so loud I went deaf to elude the harm
The longer I’d look the more I’d see
The more you’d accomplish the less I’d achieve
I’m the one that knew the rules
And avoided that line you conjured of fools
Visually you were a vision
But never too bright to blind intuition
A nightmare that couldn’t come to fruition
Had to dodge your carbs, got to watch my nutrition
I know you’re not good with rejection
Ironic since you’re so good at deception
A master and chief at deluding perception
And for all your skill at stirring the pot
I’m the one that escaped and couldn’t be caught
I’m the one you could not play
Riddle me this
Riddle me that
Too classy to fiddle since I’m a violin
And as hard as you tired I could never let you in
Could never let you win because I would lose
No holiday so lady sing the blues
