Protest
With a pug look to his face, a beer in his right hand, cigar smoke all over the place, beer belly over the band, he stands and jokes around with his friends, says, "man who do I thank for the weekends!"
With his red hat and thick permeating ignorance protruding from pores impossible to ignore even from a distance, he'll cackle and speak of God and his wonderful blessin's
'So why in the he'll would these people pick a fight with him? Everythangs okay, I aint have no problems like them!'
Ha
It's ok, idiot
I'll take it from here
You ever hear of August Spies?
No?
Put down the beer
Clear the mind
Thought your kind
Were so Germanically,
Hitler inclined
Don't you at least know the culture
Or the timeline?
Those weekends are around 'cause of him
Along with minimum wage, sick days, and retirement
He and 9 others died so you can speak with impediment
Anarchists rising up for the weak even then
Pushing bombs, secrets, plots, it's a movement
Can't be singin' it tender when the man ain't listening in
Oh, you want to talk about freedom and shit
Standing around like you personally earned it
No
Why don't you thank the father of independence
Thomas Payne alive among the remnants
Or the people who died during the stamp act riots
Leading to the tea being creamed at the sight if it
Revolution, independence fought for against injustice
All for our soldiers to come home to fight again in a fit
Cause congress clammed up and didn't want to pay them
Something a guy like you may agree with since
You and your inbred love the annoying orange
So yea, in the name of self respect
Peaceful men go out to protest
Violently, I might add
In case you fuckin missed the rest
Or the point you putrid, perplexed pest
I can name a hundred off the top of my head
Nixon drawing back forces after the protest at Kent
Policies and minds changed after Detroit and Mount Pleasant
And these are in country I haven't even ventured out yet!
Let me reveal to you the nature of this world
Men see the weak as something easy to hurdle
One cannot sway an immovable crowd with no sight
Or plead with reason to be treated right
How many whips are you willing to take
How many humiliations before you break
Before peace resembles death and your hands become capable
Of doing the very thing you call unaccaptable...
