Big House With a Picket Fence

hey, old love
didn't we have fun?
we were running in the sun
running twords forever
at the time you were my perfection
but suddenly you severed
all your ties with me
the moment you said
you never wanted to see me again
and in a fit of rage I said it back
it took some time to realize
but I did realize

you won't ever be happy
oh, please prove me wrong
but if you took the time
looked passed the flaws
maybe you would of seen
you could of had everything
all those dreams you said you had
they would of been reality
a big house with a picket fence

so tell me
why must you self-destruct?
guess I was to blame
at least that's your side of the story
still, I hope you find love
but I do doubt it
your cold shoulder
will get in the way
everytime
