The Irish bar we drank and slept
That warm hug you gave with a kiss of luck.
I remember the first secret kept
How that began the eternal bliss of trust,

A promise made no matter where
Or how far we get separated by miles,

We’d keep up the jokes that made us smile.

The time I was sick in bed
You brought me soup and a blanket,
You curled up and massaged my head
Brought me Cocoa and I drank it.

Then I came to you depressed
Almost mentally distraught and lost,
Listened closely as I expressed
The misfortunes of feelings I came across.

Even when I think that your wrong,
I respect what you say,
Quit bitchin’ about shit and be strong.

Friendship is not always happy feelings
It can be downright shitty,
But when emotions reach the ceilings

Friendship means you care
