Vanity

The sun has set in my life
The flocks are settling amongst their home
The cold waves of the unfathomed season is here with strife
And the empty urban city can't compare to the heart which is no longer my own

So I tried to fill my heart with love
A lady whom I've known for three months a white dove
Although her essence is there and above
I still feel an emptiness which I can't explain I can't love

Strong drink should never be given to kings
They soar above the heavens as do angels
Yet to those who are not gifted with wings
God bless their cursed souls and free them from their shackles

The world is a funny place
We go on about trying to finish our own race
Though we pass each other with easy pace
We have to finally face being erased

I've never been afraid to die
Hell it'd be better than to live a lie
What dreams may come when we die?
I don't know I don't wanna lie

All we can do is wake up and try
If it doesn't work don't cry
At the end all men must die.
