A Banquet for the Birds

A brisk breeze blows;
Buckeye branches bow
Beneath the beautiful, blue sky.
Behold!
Blackberry brambles
Bursting with berries,
Bring bountiful banquets for the birds.
Blue Jays and blackbirds
Break berries beneath their bold bills,
A ferocious feeding frenzy
Before the famine of first frost.
A curious cardinal creeps ever closer,
Keeping careful consideration of the crows;
Fearful, but finally finding his favorite fix
In a fervent flurry of feathers.
'Bzzzzzz'
A bee buzzes by,
Busy as can be.
As butterflies brush against
Brilliant bouquets of
Buttonbush blossoms,
Blooming
Before my eyes.

Author's Note
This poem started off as me practicing alliteration with the letter 'B', and developed into this. At risk of being redundant, or losing the readers interest, I threw the c's and f's in there to make it a little more interesting (not to mention, I was running out of good B words). This one is a little more lighthearted and playful than my usual writes, so I hope you guys still enjoy it! I considered italicizing the poem to add a more elegant appearance, but decided against it for increased legibility.
