Look the Other Way

They didn’t understand the wandering, when she’d walk away, when she’d renew into herself, emerging ever so gentle, yet free,

She always appeared a mystery, her eyes full of depth, yearning, yet demeanor light and hopeful, the darkness of her almost refreshing.

You see, she was never meant to be grounded,

Her path was meant to be thorned with hurt, and pain, with a darkness so deep it was almost impossible for her to come out without that fierced guard,

But if you looked to close, you could see that yearning soul.

In the darkness was where she found herself, those thorns she adorns now ever so gracefully, for all she ever wanted was to be freely her own, to be okay and open to the renowned beauty in life, but some deeper wisdom she carried always forbid the easy way,

She was on a quest of finding herself, putting herself back together, when she blindly stumbled into another path, one full of the brightest blooms, the most boastful harmonies of welcoming change,

Finding the pieces she didn’t know she had lost along the way.

Without even trying, she found what she had been needing in this world, the answer to all those unanswered questions and fears, the fertilizer to enhance her greatest inner bloom,

It came quick, and at the same time stopped time for her,

That path became her world, her world of laughter, love, empathy, understanding, curiosity, and respect- who knew what one person simply accepting and loving you could turn your world upside down,

It’s a fantasy, an enchantment, a daily mystery that deepens compassion, An independence, yet respect and space to be, allowing the best of both to emerge and bloom blissfully as was meant to be.

This one made her soul fly, giving it the constant wind it needed to refuse the darkness, while keeping that heart stuck here firmly on his ground.
