Kiss

Warm embrace
Arms twisted.
From touch to heavy breathing.
Short breaths.
Slowly fading into black.
Eyes in disconcerting paralysis.
Until they meet.
Holding the gaze
Captivating the mind, body, and soul.
Until the lips brush against each other
Mouth to mouth
Soul to soul
From me to you.
My mind is melting.
Melted.
Pouring in and pouring out.
Your mind is my mind
Devouring each other.
See how perfectly my face fits in the clasps of your hands.
Your warm hands.
Warmth.
Still holding me too close.
Eyes fixated.
Lips still warm
Moist.
Unraveling secrets
The blood rushing to our heads
Exploding into infinite, tiny particles
Each one bringing me, even more, closer to you.
It's the universe's way of telling us
Hold still.
Engrave this memory into your brain.
Let it overwhelm you.
Don't forget to breathe.
Breaaaathe.
Lips still parted.
All that lingers is the sweet aftertaste
Of cigarettes
Of mint
Of affection
Of memories
Of you and I
