This Girl's Soul
This girl’s soul
Got me stuck in a hole
Caught like a fish
On this kitty cat's dish
I try to sleep
But into my mind she seeps
Infecting me
Not content to leave me be
It is her mind
That makes her one of a kind
Beautiful beyond compare
And a heart just as fair
Love her words
Infatuated, just one of her herd
Afflicted by lust
Hot and sensual love a must
But it cannot be
That she’d desire me
With naught to give
From this life I live
This girl's soul
Might make me whole
But love takes a toll
When she is the goal.
Real or not
Our moments together
Better to be happy with what I've got.
Better that, than wonder forever.

Damn, another one and words I've had written about me a couple times now as well. Sometimes knowing they're there is what makes it all so worthwhile no matter the hurt. Great summary!!

Thank you, I enjoy how poetry can have an impact on people, even my meagre attempts. And I certainly agree, we can't always have the ones we love or desire but it's not about the possessing or owning it's enough to have the feeling.

Your poetry is beautiful, no attempts at anything. I think it's our creative types that draw such energy and bond, because we're full of words and imagination that beckons our souls together (I may write about that.lol) in such intense feelings. Those lacking a creative minds stand fewer chances

I agree with your above reply that the feeling is enough. If love is reciprocated, all the better. If not, the emotion can hopefully stand disappointment and be ready for the next object of love and desire. Love this work Rjm.
