A plastic memory
and synthetic kindness
Bowls of empathy left empty
with a sip of common decency left behind.
I took that small drink to rid myself of cotton mouth
caused by your vague hits of poorly answered questions
that stab and swim around the back of my mind like the parasite
That love has become.
