The day
She once wished for love,
Today that wish came true.
In the blink of an eye.
There she was,
ready to love.
With broken hearts as her armor.
Only two mattered.
Hers and his.
Just then she realized her love was pain,
her love was torment.
So she set him free.

"Just then she realized her love was pain,
her love was torment." Love is pain! How true! It's the deepest and most consuming. But to "set someone free" means to recognise that love is extreme and unconditional. You set them free, but you don't stop loving them. Hence your pain is enduring and everlasting. Beautiful write. J
