Flashbacks, a tick in time
bringing forth memories
stamped in my mind
everything is sweeter
if we just give it time
each moment captured
ages beautifully like wine
I still remember that picture
the one with no frame
etched in my cortex
remaining the same
that smile, those lips
I look deep in your eye
truth for the taking
as thoughts of you filter by

It's funny how memories will be imprinted into our cortex so deeply that they suddenly appear before our eyes much later...like it just happened. Feeling this one...

I clutched to memories of someone for a decade. It’s as though they become sacred, crystallized in my mind’s eye. I’ll toast some wine for this nostalgic piece 🍷
