The dead of the night

In the dead of the night not a single sight, a slight feeling of fright slips through despite feeling mighty.
In the dark who knows what's hiding, probably my delusions and insecurities as I fade into obscurity.
Reality is complete absurdity.

In the dead of the night not a single sight,
Not a shimmer of light is shining bright deep down below the void,
behold the oldest mystery mystifying all the humans throughout history,
Reflections.
Escape the egotistical state of mind.

An ancient attitude, extending eternal gratitude to the earth for supporting us
since birth forever meant to be the kingdom of mirth,
Not a realm to fill with fear just because we don't know why we're here.
Soon you will see the answer is near,
we just need to observe and hear.

In the dead of the night only the moon shines its light along with the stars scattered across the cosmic sea in the sky, a beautiful sight for us to see, a beautiful place for us to be, reminds us our true purpose is to be free.

In the dead of the night only the human mind frets, never able to forget.
We've placed to much pressure upon ourselves to achieve perfection, a true misconception leading us in the wrong direction.

There is no me, me, me only we, we, we.
In order to see the way to be free we can no longer say its all about me.
We must come together
whether or not we remained tethered to greed.
It should be agreed that we indeed as a species are our only saviors,
despite our obsession with self, it is up to us to watch over the planets health which includes every being who calls this place home.

We are not alone,
only our minds confuse us into feeling we are on our own.
So while your face is buried in your phone, remember, this place is your home,
this is where you've grown, this is where the love that you've been shown has been known to dwell within your bones.

Author's Note
"You are loved just for being who you are, just for existing. You don’t have to do anything to earn it. Your shortcomings, your lack of self-esteem, physical perfection, or social and economic success – none of that matters. No one can take this love away from you, and it will always be here.” Ram Dass
