I do like the word "magnet" and in this poem I enjoyed magnet ... mirrored ... reflection" just for the electromagnetic connotation.

Perhaps a colon after "of nerves whispers" as a cue to prepare the reader for the whispered italicised words that follow (unless I have totally read this incorrectly, and the final two stanzas are not the whispered words!).
