One colleague is a PharmD among several M.A’s and PhD’s who have left the country ie  Saudi Arabia and China (wtf) to find work. Last I heard he came back to the US and had somehow gotten lucky enough to get on with The US Dept of Defense,              
             
One engineer (my cousin) with an annual salary of $200,000 (Kansas City),              
Another engineer who couldn’t get companies to pay him, for however prestigious they were; now working “Grass Roots” (Washington State). At this age, he might as well be unemployed (Same degree/ radically different results; Black/White),              
             
One monster artist who met up with a physicist in the food pantry line (Ithaca, NY), What are the odds of that?              
             
Another artist (also my cousin/different generation) who actually works for CNN (NY city). Now, she might have been doing anything to get that and that's some shyt you can't compete with. Her work is not that good either. (My poem/My opinion) They say different; moving forward,              
             
One math degree (my other cousin) (Chicago),              
             
Otherwise “the U is just handing out liberal arts degrees like water;” said the pharmacist. Now she’s gotta 4-year-old (at this age), so I’d be very careful. She’s going to bring in that front door and that little girl is going to take straight out the back door (that’s just normally how it goes; yet another generation-God help us bc we ain't going back).              
             
“Excuse me” said the also hard sciences at that time; If you're not going to U to be a pharmacist or an engineer then you don’t deserve to live like a human being? I was inferring. You didn’t go to school for the right thing? I don’t think I had turned down Cal State’s (Chico) graduate engineering program just yet, at that point; which would’ve just irked me even more.      
 
(I don’t like to fuck with people; they will piss you off).              
             
Well back to this cousin, she’s old fashioned, of course my era, so she caught hell; still is. She didn’t want no man (I don’t think she’s gay either but that’s not the point). You shouldn’t have to have one or resort  (In her case) to that kind of thing to secure your own survival, when you know you’ve done what the fuck you were supposed to do,              
             
And well others just hang in the balance and as a former educator I can honestly say; there’s just no one sure way to “make it” nowadays. There’s no definitive pattern (you can’t test it out before you dive in either). Look above; that shit will make your head spin with just as many hard sciences down as soft sciences-Some of it has to do with accessibility (this is true) but most of it is a game and that’s what you’re up against.
