RODEO
She was only the rodeo mascot,
But she knew broncs from bulls by the hump.
Was a rough life but she stayed and hard-fought,
While the money was good from the jump.
With the rodeo clowns, she became one,
Cause she loved the guys in their face paint.
She was quick on her feet with a man done,
How she flashed the bulls made the boys faint.
Plus, by making her own costumes, God bless,
That distracted the men mothers hate.
The red-striped baggy pants that were crotchless,
And wore nothing else on underneath.
She won first with her peekaboo bra’ on,
While the folks in the stands all turned red.
She fell hard for the company ramrod,
Who would show off his prowess in bed.
And the roustabouts bet who’d outlast her,
But they all got a taste, don’tcha know.
So the money kept coming in faster,
From the rednecks who all loved her so.
In the water tank where she’d go swimmin’,
Skinny-dippin’ would show off her muff.
All the men, even some of the women,
Had signed glossies of her in the buff,
Set astride on a Brahma named Outlaw,
Who was known what to do with his rig.
But that girl was stitched just like Roy Rogers,
Stars & Stripes, Buttermilk, Dale & Trigg’.

Re: Re. RODEO
Hello Josh, and I'm honored you like this write. As for "Dale & Trigg"...
Dale (Rogers) was Roy Roger's wife of many years till his death. She appeared with him in their TV series in the early 50's, LOTS of full-feature films from 1945 till into the 50's, and performed in many circuits around the country, with Roy's group the Sons of the Pioneer. And last but not least, Trigg' is short for Trigger - Roy's famous Palomino stallion. Trigger's son later appeared with Roy as his "pal" in everything once the original Trigger was pastured and later passed. The taxidermy worked his magic on both stallions after passing, where they were displayed in the Roger's museum in Apple Valley, California (now since relocated out of state). Btw, Dale's horse was "Buttermilk", and the Roger's jeep was "Nellie Belle".
I hope that helps. Now you'll be able to Google to everything you'd like to know and see - including youtube where you can view their movies and the TV show where the theme song was Roy & Dale singing "Happy Trails".
Happy Trails to you, 'till we meet again.

Thank you Jade for the comprehensive infill. Roy Rogers was the clue I missed, not realising 'Dale & Trigg' were related. Thanks again for filling in the picture.

What I wouldn't give to go to this rodeo. You tell this story with just the right images and action to make this the ultimate rodeo experience.

Re: Re. RODEO
Why thank you, John, wha-hoo, boy-howdy! When I was wee little, and through my childhood, Mom & Dad would take my sisters & I out every summer to where there was always a traveling circus (with the big top and everything that went with it (and me with my face in a tall swirl of cotton candy while sitting on Dad’s lap watching the lions & tigers in rapt fascination). But even better, was the rodeo that was on the other side of the highway out in the sticks (in Saugus, I think it was - all those sprawling sites are now buried under over developments). There was also a baseball stadium, and a large dirt racetrack where they held demolition derbies also during the warm weather. But yeah, the rodeo was the highlight of my summers till I started college. This was fun for me to talk about.
Re. RODEO
Your rodeo experiences sound yee haww! I too went to rodeos with my grandpa as a kid. Once I went to the prison rodeo at Angola. This may sound like a tangent but one the most erotic bucking bronco scenes was the woman riding the mechanical bull in the movie "Urban Cowboy". But the fantasy rodeo in your poem rocked! Clearly, you drew from your experience but enhanced it into a rid em cowgirl poem for a different sort of rodeo audience. Now your sexual rodeo made me wanna be rode to ecstasy by a cowgirl with spurs and sass.

Wah-HOO!
If I were that Ride ‘em High girlie-o,
I’d mount naked in just a pair o’ blond wooly chaps, and a pair of hand-tooled snakeskin cowboy boots. And let the friction do the rest... Yeeeeee HAAA!!

Being ridden by you wearing those chaps would pinken my bump and grind gear until I start singing Gospel. But those boot heels dug unto my thighs could be my first experience of heaven on earth.
