An Account on Urban Turnout

It wouldn't be hard to presume that our so-appointed community leaders are actually provisional governance
of a detached regional party headquarters.

Nails spur from the toes of the salamander
in a crinkle of the nose and a blight of the second stage
as amphibian sponge swells through the trachea of paid politic.

This contemporary nation's crept along the floor and up the halls of abandoned buildings,
through empty thrones on the back of oil barges under the belly rolls of the Hezbollah.
The teeth of the vine anchor to migrant dumping in poor districts beyond the red-tape of the commuter rule,

by whose penance of our tax for their art education
and the bloc of our vote for their social ties,

we rehearse the common virus for a concurrent tally
of four score and seven years.
