MY HOME IN ANOTHER TIME ZONE
Remember to stay
Irresistable
She says
Opening up for me
Spreading herself out for me
Her beautiful walls
That promise
Not to speak a word
She will never
Deny me entry
Myself
The key
Come inside
Even the weather
Obeys my command
Electrical storms
Are not uncommon here
Lightning strikes
Hold me
Close enough that
We shake
Together
If we explode
The whole town will know
I am alive
But I am also
Buried in her
Feeding her
Watershed
Tell me you’re dripping
I’m dripping
Emerging from the
Slow stream
In the forest
Behind the yard
And it is her
As well
Her well
I draw upon
For sustenance
You know just how I taste
She breathes
And the earth quakes
Gently
Unless I get her going
Yes
She is
The sports car in the driveway
I am the emblem
Mounted on her hood
I drive her
Home
To her
A lion in her forest
Roars
I’m pulling in
I’m parked
I pull the brake
For safety
Stay forever
I brought some things
To decorate her walls
They glisten
I feel all of you
I lie on the bed
She is the bed
I’ve had a long day
I am panting
The earth heaves
The house rolls
The stream threatens
To flood
This is wonderful
Things settle down
The roots
Lap up the flow
I fall asleep
Into a dream
She sends me images
For later
Irresistable
She says
Opening up for me
Spreading herself out for me
Her beautiful walls
That promise
Not to speak a word
She will never
Deny me entry
Myself
The key
