spreadsheets and the gross results

the conic section
is an interesting study
you'd either have a full circle
parabola
hyperbola
or an ellipse

the type of conic is determined by the value of the eccentricity
says the book
and i agree

asked for a spreadsheet
she ended up spreading
on the sheets
and the results
after the hyperbole
had lapsed
were felt and agreed
as gross
sum and product of
more than just an
overlap
of the curves
at the midpoint

the tangent
was supposedly
the aim

Author's Note
Leibniz defined Tangent as the line through a pair of infinitely close points on the curve. In geometry, the tangent line (or simply tangent) to a plane curve at a given point is the straight line that "just touches" the curve at that point.
