Sonnet

The ocean stripped boulder down to its knees, -a
Gave into rock; survived by desire -b
Gently felt through the mercurial trees, -a
Suspended in motion to admire -b
The swank body of shoreline out-reaching -c
Even the song palette; stifled by wind -d
With the cordial moonlight close to breaching -c
Expectant blue skies of anchored sequin-d

Affixed to hydrangea, through miles of sand -e
Frequently, taken up by somber rhyme-f
In ripples, that edged closer on command-e
Like an affirmed enticement over time-f
Determined to silence; suffer and sprawl -g
In the history of conquer and fall. -g
