All This Time After
Maybe at a bus stop, a courthouse, a grocery store, or another convention,
Maybe at a birthday party, a theatre, a restaurant, or a gas station,
Who knows when you will see her again.
Though when you do...
She gingerly walks up to you,
Through eyes so blue, she can see your virtue.
From nervousness, she tries to abstain,
It's the Girl with the Magic Hat again!
"Hello again", says she,
She smiles at you so warmly,
Yet her eyes seem to flicker with a tinge of nervous fear.
To her, you are not only a terrific actor,
But a wonderful human being,
Just being near you, it is dizzying.
Your words from that night, still linger in her mind,
Inspiring and propelling her bravery, those words so kind,
As if it were only yesterday,
In her mind and heart they stay.
What would you say to her,
If you ever saw her again, all this time after?
Maybe at a birthday party, a theatre, a restaurant, or a gas station,
Who knows when you will see her again.
Though when you do...
