Raindrop...

So much lost in such little time, it's hard to believe.
You and I.
The way we carelessly assume the weight of our words.
You and I.

A cloud hung over my head.
My whimper carried with the wind.
I am ready for the rain.
Yet my umbrella fails to keep me dry.
Slowly breaking down from the whisper of your voice.
The last thing I really need is a talking umbrella.

So much ruin and dread cascades a veil I can't touch.
You and I.
Yet I was entrapped within happiness and became oblivious.
You and I.

How does the space that's meant to bring me security cause me pain?
When I feel the cold I'll eventually not feel anymore.
The solace has disappeared and I helplessly watched.
The last thing I really need is a talking umbrella.

If the world went away how could I continue to exist?
You and I.
Even deeper I swore I've seen the faint image of you and I.

You and I.

Falling like a raindrop with a spirit that refuses to heal.
My umbrella raindrop laughed despite all the misery.
When will the sun shine?
It can't forever be this way.
Hope has to make it better.
It's the only thing keeping me getting any wetter.

Letting go of my umbrella.
Because of you...
