Happy Birthday

Another year to remind me of how old I am,
Another year to remind me of how lucky I am.
To wake up every day,
Breathing,
To be alive physically and in spirit.

Not many have the chance to live life how they wanted,
Some had theirs taken away from them,
Others, fear keeps them from living,
They're forever haunted.

Life takes unexpected twists and turns,
If it didn't, from the many mistakes we've made,
... how would we learn?

Birthdays only come once a year,
Be greatful , thankful, live and laugh as much as you can,
Don't let this life run right by,
Time waits for no one,
It'll be gone in the blink of an eye.
