when I was young
chasing down dreams
with reckless passion
judgement clouded
by false images
couldn’t see beyond
fragile innocence
girls were foreign
couldn’t communicate
backwards dialogue
always left all alone
fast forward
stagnated time
boiling in this
tainted misery
living in the past
anger consumes
solitary concepts
what could have been
disfigured demons
lurk behind shadows
rigid knowledge
reflected moon
beautiful ladies
