I've never personally known a woman who purposely put on weight. Seems to me it happens because their self image is so shattered by how they are treated that they no longer care about themselves and then the weight comes along which makes them feel worse.
Now I'm not expert on this. Just giving a woman's perspective here.

Thanks I wasn't trying to be condescending or anything like that but almost every woman is sensitive about their weight and I don't see someone sabotaging themselves in spite of someone else.
