My muse has taken a long break
Gone somewhere in the south of France
So it's a struggle to produce
Fine lines to mediocrity
The pen withers in my hand
And the laptop slams an angry lid
Fortunately this little cat
Curls up upon my lap
Purrs inspiration for some work
But it won't be any masterpiece
And if there's any message found
It's because this feline's still around.

Thanks Crim! My muse will come back eventually. How eventually I'm not sure, but I keep plugging away, barely. My cat makes sure of that.

Sometime our muse has no voice. It is then that we look for sign language. It's just a different way the muse speaks. In this case, through your lovely furry friend. Everything is inspired, especially when we don't believe we are. You are a poet. A voice of the numes. They speak through you always. This is a very lovely piece of inspired word you have here. Very good ink indeed. J.
