A Mother's Prayer
I look in her eyes who do I see
The splitting image looking back at me
I take a step back, a deep breath I take
I pray she doesn't make the same mistake.
I love her more than words can express
I want to protect her life getting in a mess.
So many qualities the same we share
I know that I shouldn't compare
But I see myself so much in her
I hope she can better conquer
All her hopes, dreams and desires
I hope in some way my life inspires
Her to be the very best she can be
By learning about what happened to me
To move on with a greater insight
To stay focused on her plight
To have a good life with all it can bring
And not have to worry about a thing.
