Logging Out .
oh, my metaphysical
dark-writing-space
I need to remember
to log-you-out
murdering the
lights
in browser-tabs
you live in my veins
sometimes as blood
and others as
disease
.

dearest Al this write has me stumped
as it's a drug poem...
I almost feel it could be written for me
as I let the dark out today...
it is an intriguing write
I always go hunting for the deeper meaning
it mostly alludes me...
but speaking from my own perspective
this write talks to me
of taking a break from this space
and letting myself heal from my disease...
it's a great write AL...
would love to get some hints
to your intentions...
love Brenda

Hey Bren
Hope you're well?
As per your lower comment yes the drug metaphor is very much regarding the inability to give up the online life. However short the period.
Aah you know how it goes, the online lights are on, not even in vacinity and people get hurt. There casualties to all of life I think.
I need a break sometimes.
Thanks for the reading and the commenting.

Re. Logging Out .
Al, i am empathetic with your desire to switch-off both metaphysically and literally. Often I log-off DUP, ostensibly, only to find I am still logged in on a smartphone etc. Also, I tend to stay mentally logged in even when the screen is dark. We live in this age of perpetual information stimulation and many, me included, feel we're misding out if not constantly connected. Bravo Sir!

Exactly!
Rather glad you see what I'm saying.
This online life can be confused with real life, so easily.
And yes FOMO!
And as true as...
Logged out,
Heard Hemi had dropped one. Was logged back in for the read so quickly. It was crazy.
So it all sounds good in theory. But the practical.. Haha not so much.

.... there’s a log out button?
... where?!
... of what speaketh thou, good sir?!
😂
Neat little introspection. Bravissimo.

What isn't a drug Al? I just love this ink man it rings true on so many different levels. But what makes it a great poem, is it makes the reader do some introspection after reading...I am.

Aaah Hary
I'm always working at finding something new to leave the reader with.
Glad it spoke inside you.

now that makes me
raise one eyebrow
and a a deep gash-like wrinkle
forms on this cold forehead!
if this coldest write
of yours kindlly Sir, is what i am dreading
then that Log-In
must be not too far away Okay??
this is a gem...
for the sheer imagery and depth
but that doesn't mean the critic in me
has left critique-ing :-)

Good on you Cold!
No, the introspection will never keep me away from home.
Critique is a solid friend of mine.
Couldn't live without readers who voice their needs in my writing. For me I wouldn't post here in these halls if not for the honesty of it.
Thanks for bringing your cold self to the pages and words mate!

I love the metaphor you’ve used here, Al. If we could log out of so many things our lives seem bound too, might we achieve freedom! Wonderful message written brilliantly!

Yeah, that's a button I had to familiarize myself with recently as well. Gotta hit that reset and refresh one's own page once in a while. But we always manage to find our way back, don't we? :-)
