Death Warmed Over
Outside a small and evil dog
Its teeth connected to my leg
The neighbors cluck and drag it in
Fresh flesh dangling from its jaws
I bleed out on cracked asphalt
My body cooling in the sun
Forgotten as the day wears thin
One more stiff under the stars
But once again I gain my feet
Shamble forth, snapping teeth
The neighbors and their fucking dog
Glimpse the End of Days beyond the smog
I witness my brethren on the rise
Fury sparking in their eyes
Hunger in numbers by my side
As Death, at last, regains some pride.
Its teeth connected to my leg
The neighbors cluck and drag it in
Fresh flesh dangling from its jaws
I bleed out on cracked asphalt
My body cooling in the sun
Forgotten as the day wears thin
One more stiff under the stars
But once again I gain my feet
Shamble forth, snapping teeth
The neighbors and their fucking dog
Glimpse the End of Days beyond the smog
I witness my brethren on the rise
Fury sparking in their eyes
Hunger in numbers by my side
As Death, at last, regains some pride.
