Is Love Forever?
“Is love forever?"
I silently ask.
I sit and ponder
As I think of my past.
I have seen love,
Saw its effects.
Have I felt love?,
This I reflect.
I can recall
Feelings of bliss,
Memories of happiness,
Even a sweet kiss.
These images,
They scatter away.
Replaced with a pain
That grows each day.
“No, love is not forever,"
I finally say.
Love is temporary,
It will always decay.
I silently ask.
