As the Land Beneath Us Crumbles

A massive earthquake rips open the land across the Midwest.
Resident’s from Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania are not feeling so blessed.
What would cause an earthquake of this size here in the Midwest is anyone’s guess.
Take the guessing out of it, it’s due to the land beneath us being stressed.
Injecting liquid at high pressure into subterranean rocks has caused this mess, but the fracking companies won’t confess.
You will have to hook them up to a lie detector and watch them fail the test.

Roads around the nation suddenly and without warning fall into the ground.
Cars and people vanish never to be found.
Home disappear from the face of the earth, one after another.
Are you afraid?  Don’t look for answers to this pandemic from your mother.
Sink holes are appearing all over the place and taking roads and homes with them.
We believe we are an intelligent species, but mankind sure is dumb.

Trees fall to the ground and disappear on a daily basis.
Towering skyscrapers and poorly built roads replace a once grand oasis.
Fresh vegetation and green grass is becoming a thing of the past.
Mankind believes deforestation and rapid city growth is such a blast.
But what’s the cost to the environment and mother Earth, have you stopped to ask?
One day soon, mother nature will have her revenge on us at long last.

Miles upon miles of garbage float in the middle of the ocean.
You can’t look up the pictures on-line and not be appalled since we all contain emotion.
The wildlife that claims the ocean as their home eat the garbage and die from it.
This is a tough pill to swallow, that I admit.
We are a wasteful and damaging species,
destroying everything we come in contact with like it’s unwanted feces.

The oceans are rising to take back the planet.
We ignore this issue despite the warning being very candid.
The pollution we cause and the damage we do to the atmosphere,
has become a major problem that is staring us in the face crystal clear.
The planet is tired of our destructive ways.
She is getting ready to strike back and prove to us that our existence here has been nothing more than a phase.
When we are pushed to the brink of extinction, we won’t be so amazed.
God won’t be looking down on us and giving us his praise.
My question to all of you is this.
Are you fucking awake yet?
Will you open your eyes and seriously take in the warnings given to you here in this section?
If your eyes fail to open, you remain blinded to the fact that our species is due for a serious correction.
