A Familiar Domain

It’s a beautiful, warm day out as I walk in front of an older house.
Something sinister lurks inside and calls to me to walk on in, there’s no need to tip toe around like a mouse.
People are out and about, walking all around outside.
I feel that I should stay out here and associate with them, not to lie.
However, something inside demands my presence and won’t give up until I step inside.
Whatever calls to me sure contains a lot of pride.
Why can’t it be a kind, beautiful female who loves me and wants to be my bride
instead of an evil fiend who not so secretly wants me to die?
Whatever, I’ll take his vicious attacks in perfect stride.
I’m not one to avoid a good confrontation and hide.

I walk up the steps of the house and arrive at the front door.
I take a deep breath expecting to walk in on a sight of pure gore.
I open the door and enter the house nervous of what’s about to happen.
I enter the discover the sound of hands clapping.

The house is filled with people walking around who are happy to see me.
I wasn’t expecting to walk in on so much glee.
Everyone says hello and greets me as I walk by them,
yet I can’t shake the feeling that I’m about to be chocking on my phlegm.
Something is off here; I can feel it.
I can’t shake this feeling that I should turn and split.

A man approaches me wanting to talk.
I’m struck by a feeling that something is off deep in his soul which causes me to gawk.
He shakes my hand telling me it’s great to finally meet me,
and is glad I’m about to set everyone there free
from this heinous creature that has them trapped there.
Something evil is getting ready to attack and is stirring in the air.

I’m looking the man in the eyes as suddenly they roll back into his head.
They quickly roll back but instead of white and brown they are black and red.
The pit of my soul instantly fills with dread.
The fiend is hiding behind the people so he can’t be easily read.
The man begins to smile a sinister smile and growls.
What’s he going to do next, howl?

I back away from the man and turn away to walk in the opposite direction.
Zits from stress are popping out of my skin ruining my good complexion.
I walked into this house sensing an infection
that was causing the habitants of this place to lose their affection.
I found the cause and now it’s out to harm me.
Again, I’m not one to avoid a conflict but I’m thinking it’s time to flee.

Walking in the opposite direction of the possessed man, I make eye contact with a woman walking nearby.
I shiver and shake my head as a warning for her not to say hi.
She goes to wave to me as her eyes begin to roll back as well.
They come back black and red, she’s now under the fiends control.

I turn my head and make eye contact with another man who goes to say hello.
I shake my head and urge him to stop going with the flow.
His eyes immediately roll back as well and disappear into his skull.
This fiend is aggressive and far from dull.
His eyes roll back now black and red.
I know what the fiend’s intentions are, they are impossible to be misread.

I head straight for the front door with the possessed man right behind me on my heels.
I need to get out of here, this place has quickly lost its appeal.
I storm out the front door and begin walking towards the back yard.
I’m expecting to discover a bunch of tombstones and a massive graveyard.
I’m sure the fiend has had its fair share of fun and murder here.
If anyone stands up to him, I’m sure he’s quick to make them disappear.

As I head towards the back yard I walk by the first man I came in contact with in the house and become possessed.
He makes eye contact with me then quickly puts his head down seemingly stressed.
I turn around and watch as he comes in contact with the fiend whose still right behind me.
The fiend grabs ahold of the man and tells me not to flee
because I’m going to enjoy what I’m about to see.

He fiend places his fingers into the man’s right eye and rips it right out of the socket.
He tosses the eye on the ground instead of placing it in his pocket.
What the friend does next is even more shocking.
He is here to cause serious harm and not to do any talking.

The fiend takes the now one eye less man and begins to smash his head into the side of the house.
Over and over again the man’s head is slammed into the side of the house.
The man’s head eventually splits open as blood begins to pour out.
The fiend intends to do this to me next, that I have no doubt.

The fiend drops the now dead man on the ground and looks in my direction
as my eyes open to discover a dark bedroom, but I have no objection.
I look over at my alarm clock, it’s 3 am.
I’ve never been so happy for it to be 3 am.
