Poker

That night you came
limping in
I put on my poker face
I never tell
when stakes are high
I like slow play
The deal is made
you push the button
put me under the gun
Be careful I say
wet boards
are a slippery slope
I always keep
an ace up my sleeve
I am in position
Let's go to the river
I lean back and let you
go all in
I match your bet
We show our cards
and I climax into
a straight flush
Calling your bluff
I hit you with a gut shot
You wrap it up and limp out
the back door

You've always been a maniac
