Legal Alien

Legal alien,
Deport innocent bodies ,
Sadness reigns supreme,
Decommissioning families,
Structural ethnic cleansing,

Gingerly masqueraded as an error in administration,

Colonially seduced for Labour,
In the 50's and 60's,

Come to the motherland,

The empire belowed,

Years of toil,
Nation building,

Yet the fruits of your labour,

Soured by this debacle ,




For what crime have I committed to raise the ire of her majesty's vexation?

A question that rages incessantly,
Whirring in my consciousness,
Like a rat on a proverbial ferris wheel,

No longer Anglican,
No more trips to the carribean,

Caught in the eye of an ideological storm,

Innocent people seething,

Rightfully so,

The children of the windrush,

Their history airbrushed ,

Pompously photo shopped,

From the moral consciousness of this grey land,

My heart pours for the children of a colonised mind ,

For me it serves as a grave reminder,

Great Britain is enshrined in dehumanization,

Besotted in a narcissstic  game of self glorification,

Systematic bicep flexing,

Whilst the real issues need addressing,

Like why these people where left marginalised at the behest of our home office?

Black skin, white masks,

Remains a seminal text ,
