What about Now?
2 years since I published my last poem,
2 years of life to talk about.
I’m past all my tears.
I’m past all those cuts.
What about now?
I’m happy, cheerful.
Full of life.
I have a life to live now
A little girl to care for.
What about now?
I’m engaged and happy
No more tears
No more fears
And no more blood.
What about now?
I got through the hard times
And loving the good times
Life does get better
Even though it never seemed it.
What about now?
I’m happy.
