The Battlefield They Call Life

Curiouser & Curiouser!

They're packed up
together with a
nappy bag
at 6 months
Dropped in an institution
where an unhappy loner
screams and shouts
at them

At 2 they're departed
to a new station
with louder
screaming
More shouting!

At 5 they're deported
to an environment
that consumes their
entire day
More rules
more regulations
Fifty wild
screaming bats
with pointy fingers
and bad breath

They're outcast
Un-cared for
Un-supported
Un-loved

And we society
bargain our opinions
Blaming electronics
laziness
and red drinks

Diagnose;
Prescribe

Do we stop and question?

Was it really The Beatles
in the sixties?
Or the home diagnosis
of underprivilaged
adults
who claimed
they knew?
