Rewind…
I remember when we didn’t have mobiles, today I suppose it’s a treat
But when I was a lad it was different, just a phone at the end of the street
No fancy calculators, but having had that said
The only ones we really had, were here inside our head
Mobile phones never heard of, no sending texts to your mate
We verbally made our arrangements, promising not to be late
Landlines controlled by our parents, assuming they had one installed
If they didn’t then, out you went walking, and to all your mates houses you called
We played and invented our own games, hardly leaving the street
And if the weather permitted, on the pavement we walked with bare feet
If only we could turn the clock back, our childhood once more to find
We could live and learn just like before, then simply click Rewind
