Steam Boat of Hope

Doing the same things expecting different results is insane
So I'm a changed man driving in my own unique lane
Freeing myself from the bondages of giving a fuck
By plowing over that emotion with a Big Mac truck

I'd been stuck for years and shed countless tears
Concerning myself with opinions driven by fears
Now I no longer care so I'm freely expressing myself
Giving it to you raw and uncut like liquor from the top shelf

Intoxicating myself with the high derived from my poetic lines
Creatively sharing my views with those who choose to go along for the ride
Like shit to flies I hope my stanzas help you deal with the daily cancer
I don't have the answers but I keep trying to do my part like Prancer

Like Jo Jo Dancer I'm running while inflamed by the fire
My desire is to make a positive change before I retire
I don't have the financial means or political team to bring to fruition the King's dream
I'm just trying to help keep the boat afloat in hopes that it never concedes or runs out of steam
